Entry: Kah Lin in Bath!! Monday, May 04, 2009

Hola everybody!! I is back from Espanya!

Right, actually I've been back for sometime. I was just down with this very bad stomach ache that hurts till I cried for so many nights to sleep. :(

At first I thought it was some normal stomach ache caused by irregular meals and all, so I thought I should give myself sometime to adjust my diet. But then, after a week, it did not get any better. No matter how much I had, no matter how frequent I ate, I still couldn't stop the pain. The worse part was I had to rely on paracetamol to at least soothe me a bit. Oh, and ginger water with sugar was my best friend for about a week too.

Then I couldn't stand it anymore, thought of making an appointment with the GP, and it dragged for another week. So I relied another week of paracetamol and ginger water.

...Till the doctor finally had some time to diagnose me.

and it turned out to be that I had gastritis - too much hydrochloric acid in my stomach. and now I have to take this gastro-resistant medicine for a month. D'oh. :(

Surfed the web and found out that there are lotsa food I can't take during this period. At first I didn't believe and went to take tea. and then bingo! the pain was back again. :(

...then I tahan-ed for another week, and I couldn't stand this chocolate-less diet anymore so I went to buy a tub of ice cream and WhEE!! still nothing wrong with me for now. :)))

How to resist the temptation, tell me?? when the sun is out and everyone's in short sleeves, how can you resist the temptation of feeding yourself with a tub of Ben & Jerry, tell me tell me??! :P

Now that there's this May Day holiday tomorrow, I'm quite free (or more like procrastinate, not wanting to finish up my work), here's this backdated entry of Kah Lin's visit last month. two months ago!

She reached Bath at night, so I just simply cooked some simple noodle soup (which did not taste too horrible I hope) and we chatted the night out.

Yea, two of us squeezed on a single bed. I'm not that fat okay.. :P

Thats Kah Lin enjoying using my lappie. She must have missed the internet. :)

and I forced her to pose for a picture with my teddy. hehe..I'm good at forcing people to do things. :P

Next morning! This is Avon river. *yawns*

and that's the both of us in front of the Abbey. This is why I dislike asking people to take photos for us. They just don't turn out nice. :( See, the Abbey got cropped out!! :( *emo*

Here's a very happy Kah Lin with the entrance ticket to the Roman Bath. I could have sneaked her in with two discovery cards, but my bad for not bringing along my proof of residence.

That's her again!

and the both of us just right beside the hot spring

Hai! It was my first time to the Roman Bath as well, so everything there interest me as well. heh.

Heat exchanger! Those stokes used to heat up the room last time. (or something)

Sigh. Tourists throwing NOTES into the spring. NOTES! USD!! POUNDS!! SIGH!

Just when we were touring around, I accidentally saw some ang moh bathing at the spring. *insert shy emoticon*

See, they not shy oneeeeeeee...*blush* :P

After about 2 hours in the Roman Bath, my stomach decided to tell me it was time for some food, so we proceeded for lunch.

That's Kah Lin playing with her hot chocolate.

..and then we walked around the city, to the royal crescent, pulteney bridge,... and the weather was not good. it started to rain and rain and rainedddddd.. we both felt so cold. :(

It was also partially my fault, cause I heard Kah Lin's train time wrongly. I thought it was earlier so I was worried that she'll miss her train if we go somewhere further. Sorry Kahlin!

I really won't blame her for looking like this by 4pm.

I left her to do some shopping while I went back home to get her luggage, and we both sat in McDs after that.

We were both tired. Well, I was - can't remember for what reason.

Nevertheless, it was nice to have her around. :) Brings back lotsa uni memories.. Time really flies!! It was already what, 4 years ago?? When we were both flatmates back in my year 1. Those were the days we would disturb each other to kill boredom. and now? We're both graduated lo~ She'll soon be a working adult and me? Still killing time in uni. heh.

This was how I looked like on the 8th of March, 2009. :)

p/s: Thanks everyone for your concern when I was emo-ing over my stomach ache. Much appreciated. I'm now feeling much better already. :))) ..and I feel loved.
